St Michael’s Mount used to be a thriving port for the tin industry. It’s spectacular to look at with a castle perched on a small island. It’s now part of the National Trust and to visit you can either cross over by foot at low tide. At high tide you will need to take a boat which will take you right to the spot where trading ships once moored.
